This whole-house renovation started as a vacant and deteriorating structure in Des Moines’ historic Drake neighborhood.

Sequel worked with the developer to evaluate structural needs and design a value-driven  remodel that celebrates the home’s modest farmhouse roots: a simple but bold color scheme on the exterior that carries through to the mudroom and half-bath on the first floor, restoring the room divider and stair at the front entry, and opening up the kitchen/dining room to each other for a modernized layout.

The upper level features two bedrooms and a laundry closet. The primary bedroom has its own stunning ensuite bathroom attached!
