Small House Gut Reno

The Story: This small home is located in a targeted revitalization area in Des Moines. Looking at the “before” condition, not many people would be interested in a major investment… but our client took it on with the help of InvestDSM, a city- and county-funded non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating difficult projects.

Sequel helped the client plan for a major reconstruction that included reorganizing the room layout to meet contemporary desires, structural remediation, kitchen layout, and “repurposing” an abandoned masonry flue into an organizing feature in the new open kitchen.
